what's mentioned is that he's 720 months old, but i refer to what Kai has done/thought - it's mostly adult, with yes some childlike 'flavour' for want of a better word; it still looks to me like 'magic adult', and that's what i've always assumed. His mental capacity has never been an infants after he woke in utero. I guess it's that flavour that jars a bit - his decisions seem a bit weird sometimes is all, but not, maybe, particularly childlike.

2023-04-02 10:04:09 +0000 UTCExcept larger ships are known to have hull enchantments as well, usually better enchantments, too. Purposefully luring a sea monster in to break their ship seems like it would backfire. Maybe it happens anyway, but I would hope not on purpose.

2023-04-02 09:58:50 +0000 UTCThere are many ways Kai can fight them. Dive in the water and pierce their hull with an ice spike. Fireballs in the sails and deck. Attract monsters to their ship while the concealment runes of their own ship are activated. He could even let them get caught on purpose and poison all their water supplies but that is way to risky. It would be even better to catch them all, but I don't think he has enough ways to do that, most ways I can think of would involve either killing them or prevent them from following as they repair their ship before it sinks.

2023-04-02 03:52:52 +0000 UTCThought seeing as how the vote is going, the pirates (if their the case here) could still be around or come back latter, the captain or someone in board having a skill to detect opportunities(even if not precisely what), and catching Kai could count as an ultra big one. So they stick around and try and get him again later, or dock nearby and get more officially noticed as a big ship in the area. Then the higher levels could get together and deal with it DnD group style, with Kai helping, possibly getting pvp experience and strategy skill(s) when helping to plan. Then they sneak out and get the pirates, Kai get a galleon for the fleet, the crew can be extra workers through indentured servitude (piracy and attempting to kidnap a lord), and whatever loot the ship had. It;s a great opportunity.
