Apparently, it’s Golden bikini week on social media.

All the artists are drawing their characters wearing golden bikinis, which is funny because I actually have a storyline planned where Viola sews a golden swimsuit for a beach side fashion show, during a heat wave, while getting sabotage by a rival mob.

Bikinis were only just invented in 1946, so in Viola’s world (set in 1949), they were still considered bold and controversial. Someone as shy and modest as her probably wouldn’t wear one out in public—but that doesn’t stop her from daydreaming.

Also, Life update:

I haven’t been uploading art as much lately, and here’s why—my day job is managing two organic farms, and spring is absolute insanity. Between planting crops, fixing equipment, and rotating cattle through pastures, it’s been nonstop.

That said, I am still carving out time each evening to wash the dirt off my hands, pour a cold bourbon, put on some John Coltrane, and dive back into the world of Hidden Curves. Final edits on the scripts are underway, and I’ll be sharing them soon on here, along with a 6–8 page preview of the graphic novel!
