Added 2021-02-05 07:59:32 +0000 UTCI have been taking the time to review and read my original and figure some things out. My story needs to be in first person. I tried an awkward meeting in the middle with my revisions and it was better at bringing out characterization, but it sacrificed flow.
So I reworked the first chapter into first person and made a few tweaks. It added about 1000 words to my draft and I liked the changes a lot. Then I reworked the second chapter. Again, I really liked how it flowed, and again it added about 800 words, but I feel like those words add and are not just fluff.
I originally tried to write Saga of the Soul Dungeon in 1st person, but I lacked the required skill, so I rewrote the 8 or so chapters I had written into third person. Now I have the skill to make it work the way I originally intended.
So, like normal, I will be giving you guys chapters ahead, except it will be the advance of my edits instead. I am hoping to get a chapter edited every one to two days. That would catch me up to where I was in around two months. I am aware that goal may be too optimistic, but I can always hope.
