Han Lee nodded, a small smile on his face. "Of course, chairman. I brought up these ideas because I know you're following in your father's footsteps. Starlight Entertainment ventured into these areas, after all."
Byul-ho's expression softened slightly at the mention of his father. "You're right. I am following his path in some ways. But," he paused, his gaze becoming more determined, "I also have my own path to walk."
Han Lee nodded in understanding. "I respect that, sir. We'll make sure to thoroughly research and plan before making any moves."
After discussing a few more details, Byul-ho stood up, signaling the end of their meeting. "Keep me updated on your findings, Han Lee. I'm interested to see where this could lead us."
"Certainly, chairman. I'll have a preliminary report for you by next week," Han Lee replied, standing as well.
As Han Lee left the office, Byul-ho turned to look out the window, his mind already racing with possibilities and potential pitfalls. The idea of expanding into dramas and movies was exciting, but he knew they'd need to approach it with caution and strategic planning.

A few days later, Byul-ho found himself in the familiar surroundings of his school cafeteria, sharing lunch with Seul-gi and Min-ji as usual. The conversation flowed easily, touching on their studies and the latest school gossip.
As they were leaving school, Byul-ho noticed Hong Jae-hoon, Min-ji's persistent admirer, approaching him with purpose in his stride.
"Byul-ho-ssi," Jae-hoon called out, a friendly smile on his face that didn't quite reach his eyes. "Do you have a moment?"
Byul-ho nodded, curious about what Jae-hoon wanted. "Of course, Jae-hoon-ssi. What can I do for you?"
Jae-hoon fell into step beside him as they walked. "I've been thinking about what you said about K-pop and its growing influence. It got me wondering... would you be interested in an endorsement deal with my father's company? We're in financial insurance."
Byul-ho raised an eyebrow, intrigued by the unexpected offer. "Financial insurance? That's an interesting pairing with a K-pop group."
Jae-hoon nodded eagerly. "It's unexpected, which could make it memorable. Plus, it shows financial responsibility, which could appeal to a broader audience."
Byul-ho considered the proposal carefully.
"It's an interesting proposal, Jae-hoon-ssi," Byul-ho said diplomatically. "I'd need to discuss it with my team and see how it fits with our current strategy. But I appreciate you thinking of us."
Jae-hoon's smile tightened slightly, but he nodded. "Of course, take your time. And... has Min-ji mentioned anything about this to you?"
Byul-ho shook his head, keeping his expression neutral. "No, she hasn't. But I'm sure she'd be interested to hear about your initiative in the K-pop world."
Jae-hoon sighed, a wistful smile playing on his lips. "I hope so," he said, his voice tinged with a mix of hope and resignation.
After chatting with Jae-hoon for a while longer, Byul-ho made his way to the Golden-Star Entertainment building. As he entered, Han Lee approached him with an excited gleam in his eyes.
"Chairman, I have great news," Han Lee said, falling into step beside Byul-ho. "The 'Love Sentence' MV we sent a few days ago to Thailand with Thai subtitles is gaining significant traction. The promotional efforts are really paying off."
Byul-ho's lips curved into a satisfied smile. "That's excellent. I had a feeling the track and song were catchy enough to resonate with Thai audiences."
Han Lee nodded enthusiastically. "Absolutely. And there's more - our collaboration with Thai artists is progressing well. Ascend's popularity is growing steadily there."
As they walked to Byul-ho's office, Han Lee continued to detail the group's progress in Thailand. The local music shows had been receptive, and fan meetings were being planned. It seemed that Ascend's international expansion was off to a promising start.
Byul-ho listened attentively. The success in Thailand could be a stepping stone to other Southeast Asian markets.
"Good work, Han Lee," Byul-ho said as they reached his office. "Let's keep this momentum going. I want to see proposals for expanding our reach in other Southeast Asian countries."
Han Lee nodded, clearly pleased with Byul-ho's response. As he left to prepare the requested proposals, Byul-ho settled into his chair, a sense of satisfaction washing over him.
Byul-ho made his way to the practice room, where Ascend was in the middle of an intense rehearsal for their upcoming Thailand visit. The sound of their music and synchronized movements filled the air as he quietly entered, not wanting to disrupt their focus.
As the music faded and the members caught their breath, they noticed Byul-ho's presence. Jae-sung was the first to approach, wiping sweat from his brow. "Byul-ho hyung, how long have you been here?"
Byul-ho smiled, "Just a few minutes. Your performance is looking great. How's the Thai coming along?"
The members gathered around, their faces a mix of excitement and nervousness.
"We've been practicing hard," Min-jae chimed in. "Want to hear what we've learned?"
Byul-ho nodded encouragingly. "Let's hear it."
One by one, the members shared the Thai phrases they had mastered:
Jae-sung confidently said, "Sawadee krap," with a slight bow.
Hyun-woo followed with, "Khop khun krap," his pronunciation careful and measured.
Sung-ho grinned as he said, "Aroi mak mak," making a chef's kiss gesture.
The others joined in, each showcasing a different phrase they had learned. Their pronunciation wasn't perfect, but their enthusiasm was palpable.
Byul-ho listened attentively, nodding with approval. "Impressive," he said, genuine pride in his voice. "You've all worked hard. I think you're well-prepared for your trip to Thailand in two days."
The members beamed at the praise, their earlier fatigue seemingly forgotten.
"These small efforts to connect with the local culture can make a big difference. It shows respect and appreciation for our Thai fans."
The group nodded, taking in his words.
Jae-sung, always eager to learn more, spoke up. "Byul-ho hyung, do you know which artists we might be collaborating with in Thailand?"
The other members perked up, equally curious about potential collaborations.
Byul-ho smiled, pleased by their interest. "We've arranged a collaboration with Natthew. He's a Thai singer who's been gaining popularity and has shown interest in K-pop."
Seeing some curious looks, Byul-ho elaborated. "Natthew debuted not too long ago and has been making a name for himself in the Thai music scene. He's known for his smooth vocals and has expressed admiration for K-pop, which makes him a great fit for this collaboration."
Jae-sung nodded, looking intrigued. "That sounds exciting! What kind of music does he do?"
"He does a mix of pop and R&B," Byul-ho explained. "His style should blend well with our sound, which is why I think this collaboration could be really interesting."
Sung-ho, always thinking ahead, asked, "What exactly will we be doing with him?"
"We're planning a joint performance of 'Love Sentence', with Natthew singing some parts in Thai," Byul-ho replied. "We're also considering recording a special version of the song together. It's a great opportunity to create something unique that appeals to both Korean and Thai audiences."
