Godfather System C151 I have many enemies
Added 2024-09-06 08:53:27 +0000 UTCLorenzo saw his wives, daughters and sons looking at him with a mixture of amazement and wonder. Deborah, Mica, and Apollonia stood wide-eyed, while their children - Hera (13), Alexandro (10), Sophia and Lucio (8-year-old twins), and Ariana (6) - gaped in awe at their father.
Deborah said in surprise, "You fight a bear like that? Are you fine?" She and the other wives approached Lorenzo, their hands roaming over his body in concern. They were astonished to see that Lorenzo was not injured at all, while his suit was ripped to shreds.
Mica's fingers traced the torn fabric, her voice filled with disbelief. "How is this possible? You should be... I mean, a bear..."
Apollonia, her eyes wide with worry, cupped Lorenzo's face in her hands. "Amore mio, are you truly unharmed?"
Lorenzo smiled reassuringly at his wives and children. "I'm fine, really. It looks worse than it is."
Alexandro, his young face a mixture of awe and curiosity, stepped forward. "Papa, how did you do that? Can you teach me?"
Hera, ever the protective older sister, pulled Alexandro back slightly. "Don't be silly, Alex. Fighting bears isn't something you can just learn."
Lorenzo chuckled, ruffling Alexandro's hair. "Your sister's right, son. But I can teach you other ways to be strong and protect our family."
The younger children, Sophia, Lucio, and Ariana, crowded around Lorenzo's legs, their small hands reaching up to touch the remnants of his suit.
"Papa's a superhero!" Ariana exclaimed, her eyes shining with admiration.
Lorenzo knelt down, gathering his youngest in his arms. "Not a superhero, tesoro. Just a man who loves his family very much."
Lorenzo chuckled as Lucio giggled, "Papa is Batman!"
Alexandro shook his head emphatically, "He's definitely Superman."
Everyone laughed at the comments, the tension from the bear incident dissipating in the face of childish wonder.
Lorenzo's laughter held a note of irony as he remembered his recent acquisition of the Batman and DC Universe comics IP from their original creator. It had been a shrewd business move, one that was already paying dividends in unexpected ways.
"Would you all like to see some superhero movies or cartoons?" Lorenzo asked, his eyes twinkling with amusement.
Alexandro and the other children nodded eagerly, their faces lighting up at the prospect. Hera, ever the independent one, piped up, "I want to see a Wonder Woman cartoon!"
Lorenzo chuckled and said, "Well, I'm going to make that possible, princess. We'll create a cartoon series to show on TV."
Deborah raised an eyebrow, a knowing smile playing on her lips. "Another business venture, my love?"
Lorenzo winked at her. "Let's just say Lupo Pictures is about to explore the world of superheroes."
Mica, catching on quickly, added, "This could be big, Lorenzo. The children already love these characters."
Apollonia nodded in agreement. "And it would be wonderful to see strong female heroes like Wonder Woman for our daughters."
Lorenzo clapped his hands together. "Then it's settled. We'll start production on a series of superhero cartoons. Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman - they'll all come to life on the small screen."
As the children cheered and began excitedly discussing their favorite superheroes, Lorenzo's mind was already racing with possibilities. He knew that in his previous life, superheroes had become a cultural phenomenon and a goldmine for the entertainment industry. By getting in on the ground floor in this timeline, he could shape the future of popular culture while further expanding his business empire.
After their talks, Lorenzo and his family went down the mountain. As they approached the base, Lorenzo saw his Lupo men waiting, behind them a caravan of cars. William, approached Lorenzo with concern as he saw his torn clothes.
"Are you okay, boss?" William asked, his eyes scanning Lorenzo for any signs of injury.
Lorenzo nodded, a slight smirk playing on his lips. "I'm fine, William. Just had a little tussle with a bear."
The men fell silent, their eyes widening in disbelief. Some exchanged glances, unsure if their boss was joking or if they had heard him correctly.
William, usually composed, struggled to find words. "A... a bear, sir?"
Lorenzo chuckled, placing a hand on William's shoulder. "Yes, a bear. But as you can see, I'm unharmed. Nothing to worry about."
The other men murmured among themselves, their voices a mix of awe and confusion. One of the younger guards whispered to his companion, "Did the boss just say he fought a bear? And he's not even scratched?"
Lorenzo, overhearing this, addressed the group. "Gentlemen, while I appreciate your concern, let's focus on the task at hand."
William, snapping back to his professional demeanor, nodded. "Of course, boss. The cars are ready, and we've secured the route back to the city."
As Lorenzo ushered his family towards the vehicles, he could feel the weight of his men's stares on his back. He knew that rumors would spread, and his reputation would only grow more legendary.
As they settled into their respective cars, Lorenzo made a mental note to have a private word with William later. He needed to ensure that any talk of his encounter with the bear was kept to a minimum. After all, in his line of work, maintaining an air of mystery could be just as powerful as demonstrating strength.

While driving back to the city, suddenly, a bunch of cars screeched to a halt in front of them. Lorenzo quickly realized what was happening. He shouted for his men to be alert as they found themselves being ambushed.
The enemies, wielding tommy guns, stepped out of their vehicles and opened fire.
Fortunately, the Lupo cars were bulletproof. The barrage of bullets pinged harmlessly off the reinforced metal and glass.
Lorenzo glanced at Deborah and Alexandro beside him, noting their worried expressions. He patted his driver Mike on the shoulder, then nodded to Deborah, who understood immediately.
Lorenzo and Deborah silently agreed that Mike should stay with Alexandro while they dealt with the threat.
As Lorenzo and Deborah prepared to step out of the car, Alexandro grabbed his father's sleeve, his young face etched with fear. "Papa, Mama, don't go! It's dangerous out there!"
Lorenzo and Deborah exchanged a look, their eyes communicating volumes. Deborah leaned in, gently stroking Alexandro's cheek. "Don't worry, tesoro. Mommy and Daddy are just going to deal with the bad guys. We'll be right back."
Lorenzo smiled reassuringly at his son. "Remember what I told you about being strong? This is how we protect our family. Stay with Mike, and we'll be back before you know it."
Alexandro nodded reluctantly, his eyes wide with a mixture of fear and admiration.
Lorenzo and Deborah, guns concealed in their pockets, shared a look before stepping out of the car. Mike held Alexandro close, watching anxiously as the couple faced the onslaught.
As they emerged from the vehicle, the sound of gunfire intensified.
Lorenzo, gun in hand, ducked swiftly before taking out three exposed enemies with consecutive shots. They crumpled to the ground as he scanned the chaotic scene. His eyes found Deborah and his other wives fighting alongside his men, and he couldn't help but chuckle inwardly.
After marrying his wives, the {System} had shared his power, strength, and skills with them. Now, they were even more formidable fighters and shooters than his best men like Adam, William, or McDonald.
Deborah moved with lethal grace, her shots finding their marks with pinpoint accuracy. She seamlessly transitioned from gun to throwing knives, each blade finding its target. Lorenzo marveled at her transformation from a delicatessen owner's daughter to a deadly force of nature.
Apollonia was a far cry from the innocent, shy woman who had arrived in Los Angeles years ago. Her eyes were cold and focused, dual guns blazing as she took down enemy after enemy. While not as accurate as Lorenzo or Deborah, her determination and ferocity more than made up for it.
Mica had taken up a sniper position, having retrieved the rifle from her car. With steady hands and a keen eye, she picked off distant enemies one by one, providing crucial cover for those engaged in close combat.
Lorenzo could sense his children in their cars, the younger ones shielded from the violence by his men. However, Hera and Alexandro watched with a mixture of fear and astonishment as their parents battled the attackers.
Lorenzo's eyes narrowed as he sensed a few of the enemies fleeing in their cars. Without hesitation, he activated his {Upside Down} skill, plunging into the shadow world. In this dark realm, he swiftly caught up to one of the escaping vehicles, passing through its solid form and dragging the driver into the shadow dimension with him.
The man, suddenly ripped from his reality, looked around in confusion and terror. "What... what happened? I was just in the car a moment ago," he muttered, his eyes widening as they fell upon Lorenzo.
"Where am I?" the man asked, his voice trembling as he took in the eerie, dark surroundings.
Lorenzo, his voice cold and menacing, replied, "Where you are doesn't matter. What matters is that you're in the underworld with me right now." He deliberately used the term 'underworld' to instill even more fear in the man.
"Underworld?" The man's voice quivered as he repeated the word.
Lorenzo fixed him with a steely gaze. "Who are you? Why did you attack my family?"
Trembling uncontrollably, the man shook his head. "I... I don't know. We were just ordered by a mysterious rich fella. He paid us 1 million dollars for this job."
Lorenzo's expression grew even more serious. "That person paid so much... It's certain that the shooting wasn't the only thing you were meant to do, was it?"
The man shook his head vigorously, terror etched on his face. "No, no... it was just a distraction. The road ahead... the one you were about to pass through... it's rigged with bombs."
Lorenzo's jaw clenched at this information. The attack was more elaborate than he'd initially thought. Whoever was behind this had planned meticulously, willing to spend a fortune to eliminate him and his family.
"You've been very helpful," Lorenzo said, his voice dangerously calm. "Now, tell me everything else you know about this plan and who's behind it. Your life depends on how useful your information is."
As the man began to spill every detail he knew, Lorenzo's mind raced. He needed to get this information back to his family and men quickly, to prevent them from driving into the trap.
But he also knew that this attack was just the beginning. Someone out there had declared war on the Lupo family, and Lorenzo will quickly investigate to find out who - and make them regret ever crossing him.
