This is based on a real product called Trans Tape, a skin safe binding tape made specifically with transmasc* people in mind. Trans Tape is waterproof and does not restrict movement and breathing as much as binders do, making it optimal for those who would like to bind while swimming or exercising, or being shirtless on a hot day.
In real life, it would be used as an accessory underneath clothing as well for everyday use, but accessories do not seem to be able to change the torso mesh, unfortunately.
Now your trans* Sims have this as an option as well!
