Hi Nick, Have you seen the documentary "The Net - the Unabomber, LSD and the Internet by Lutz Dammbeck [2003]" ? You can find it on YT. In the part two of the podcast you talked about MK-Ultra and I wonder if you have looked the story of Ted Kaczynski? Is it possible that he was a test subject for this program? --- Another strange bird is Hal Puthoff. Involved in all things "weird": UFOs (with Elizondo, David Grusch, Richard Doty), the paranormal (Skinwalker Ranch, Uri Geller), Scientology, and so on... He seems to be the mastermind behind this so-called ufological revelation that began in 2017 with the New York Times article. The whole thing smells mass manipulation, as if someone were trying to create a cult. What do you think of that guy? What is up to?

2024-07-31 15:50:54 +0000 UTCI find it amazing how really really smart people complain and grip about all the terrible things capitalism does and then are like we need capitalism to solve this! You guys basically came to the conclusion capitalism is a fraud and is not working but if we just let the market really work it will be fine. What? Man the thing I don’t get, literally never seen mn not have a winter in my 40+ years then 2023 winter was one week long, spring flooding is usually a month…. This year it was 3, a state wide flood is touring into a drought that only took one month after extreme flooding for 3 months. So explain the exon study in the 1970’s that predicted CO’2 levels almost to the exact number it is today back in 1973? Why did exon not want anyone to see that? Why did exon the following years turn into an energy company and almost got ride of their oil reserves? I agree solar power and EV’s are not a solution to anything. If climate change is a grift, why are we not focusing on the oil pollution apocalypse? Everything is covered in oil inside and out. The collapse of the AMOC, is imminent, what caused that? Capitalism is at the root of all that he was criticizing, Covid in 2023 still the 4th leading cause of death in America, I truly get some of these criticisms on Covid, the global warming (frauds committed by corporations to gain money) I also get the entrenchment of academia in strictly sticking to a line of thought, but for real! Especially with the new studies on Covid as it ages it’s not getting weaker, and it’s damage to humans even with minor infections, just look at the massive jump in disability in 21,22, and 2023. The lab leak thing looks interesting and might be true. The bats that supposedly started the infection were hibernating at the time when it started, so yeah I can see that one. I did enjoy the conversation you can talk to anyone it’s an art for sure and it’s fun to listen to.

2024-07-29 16:44:26 +0000 UTCRe: The Nick Bryant Podcast July 26, 2024, David Collum Like an ice cube in a glass of water on a summer day, I believe in glacier-calving-climate-change. The documentary “Chasing Ice” with James Balog and the “Extreme Ice Survey” clarified my mind. Once the ice (ice cube) is warmed and gone you can not get it back while sitting in the warming water. Maybe you had to be born in the 1940’s to recognize that the climate is changing faster than species can adapt. Living in central New York State I could cross country ski from October to April. Winter was so enjoyable. Starting in the 1980’s winter cross country skiing started to wane. The 2024 Winter probably had one or two days when you could cross country ski but without a frozen base. If a person was born in the 1980’s they might not recognize the extreme change. Yes, glaciers over time recede and then reform within a range for 1,000s of years and decades. But since the 1940’s ice calving has increased and is not recovering. I believe in the tipping-point-of-no-return for humans and that ice calving is escalating. Glacier calving is causing mass extinction of animals and plant life. I think every weather channel should be communicating the glacier calving. If people could witness, we would understand the extreme ice survey. When Americans can see a problem, we are all in on creative solutions and preventative practices. I find it interesting that “Chasing Ice” is not on Netflix, HULU, YouTube, or even in libraries etc. Why? “Chasing Ice” is a National Geographic sponsored documentary. Why such limited exposure for the public? I find climate denial very influenced by “end-times,” Armageddon, second coming of Jesus Christ prophecies movements. God’s plan. Not man made. Please view “Chasing Ice” and maybe have James Balog comment on The Nick Bryant Podcast.

2024-07-29 00:09:39 +0000 UTCHey Nick! I really enjoyed this episode I'm one of those weird people that isn't even sure there was a novel coronavirus. I was in the bay area for all of 2020 and 2021 and I didn't see any evidence of it, even though the news said there was essentially blood running on the streets Anyway thanks again great guest, great EP, what's up with the tease at the end though😂
