Khun didn't speak any Korean and only knew to introduce himself (name and country) And because both the places sound so familiar they both thought the other was also from their hometown/country π€£π€£π€£ Luckily Jun K did speak english well and introduced Khun to other people their age who khun is still friends with ... It probably helped him settle into an unknown country much easier
