But yeah there’s still so many WINNER content! LOL! There’s their 2 appearances in Weekly Idol as well as multiple appearances in Idol Room. There’s Knowing Bros, SNL Korea, Animal Farm, many variety shows individually and groups and of course their own reality shows like HALF-MOON FRIENDS, WINNER OVER FLOWERS, WINNER x DINGO content, WINNER VACATION, REAL NOW WINNER, ARTIST WAY: WINNER, and many more I probably missed..😆

2023-06-08 03:00:26 +0000 UTCAlso, yeah it was a tough 9 years almost 10 years being an IC..I’ve been a fan of K-pop since 2008… so imagine back in the day???!! We don’t have easy access like we have now..it was hard to find English subs. Finding videos was hard too and the quality will be low and in multiple parts. LOL!! But yeah… when WINNER TV ended.. we just waited until they debuted. I was lucky enough that WINNER flew to NYC to shoot debut teasers as well as photo shoot for the album too. So I joined some ICs to greet them at the airport. They really weren’t expecting fans to be there and they were so shocked, but happy to see us. Truly humble guys and was so awestruck about being in NYC and seeing fans. SOOOO CUTEEEE!! It made me love WINNER so much more!

So when the were putting things in their time capsule box, they promised to dig it up in Feb 2017.. so yeah 4 years. But a lot of things changed in that 4 years though as you know. After a very successful debut and being label monster rookies and digital chart monsters. A lot of people were anticipating a comeback the following year..they really was interested in a WINNER comeback. But it didn’t happen in 2015, instead YG wanted WINNER to focus in Japan promotions as well as YG Family concert/tour at that time. So the WINNER hype in SKOREA died down due to WINNER being inactive in SKOREA and other groups either debuting or having multiple comebacks. Finally, WINNER got their comeback in 2016..yes a whole year and a half for a comeback. The plan for WINNER was to have multiple releases within 2016 with the EXIT series. Very similar to what BIG BANG did in 2015 with the MADE series or like TREASURE’s debut where they had multiple releases. So everything was looking great and WINNER started being active in variety shows and their own reality show with WINNER HALF-MOON FRIENDS. Unfortunately, fans started noticing Taehyun being absent in WINNER lives or kind of withdrawn from the group. He was struggling wi to his mental health and YG allowed him a mental health break or hiatus to get better. Ultimately, Taehyun decided it’s the best not only for him but the rest of the group for him to leave to focus on recovering/healing. It seems idol lifestyle is just too much pressure and also he felt restricted with the musical direction or style he wanted to pursue + him mental health issues. So he part ways with WINNER and YG amicably..no bad feelings. From them..WINNER went on another hiatus just not long after their comeback and multiple release plan..obviously that plan got scrapped. As well as WINNER’s future became uncertain..rumors saying they might add a new member and others saying they might disband. But thankfully Yoon, Mino, Hoony, and Jinwoo stayed strong and decided to stay together. They literally turned everything around and came back with QUEEN REALLY REALLY in April 2017. So yeah…I don’t really think they were able to dig up the box..maybe they did? But they were really working hard in 2017 in rebranding themselves and reintroducing themselves in the general public. As an IC during that time it was really scary and difficult and we can’t imagine how the boys felt. But they survived and still here for us today..making us laugh, cry, and proud every day not only with their music..but just honestly as people..they’re all so inspiring.
