Disintegrity 31 remake
Added 2019-04-28 23:31:28 +0000 UTCSometimes a page just doesn't take too long to make and I don't understand why but this one was mostly painless. That's nice, for a change.
Otherwise, it's another page where nothing needs much precision. The changes are straighforward. I did forget to tweak the texts a little so that each lines aren't so far apart but eh, it's fine.
I guess there is something to say... This is another page, much like 9, that has a reference to some other artwork. In this case, the last panel is a reference to a trailer from Deus Ex: Human Revolution, with its magnificent piss filter. In retrospect, I don't feel like it adds anything to the scene, it's just referential for the sake of being referential, it's more likely to be distracting than funny.
But I left it in anyway cos... I'm not sure. In a way, it seems a little disrespectful to my past self to erase some stuff that made the comic what it was, even if that stuff wasn't for the best it's still part of its personality. In the end, it's never going ot be perfect anyway. So I'm leaving that one in.

It's amazing how a page that was already nice became great in the remake! I like(d) Zee's way to lie on the couch a lot, and in this new version his posture, especially in the ... (counts) ... 6th panel, you know, the one on the left bottom, is even cuter.

2019-04-29 14:03:26 +0000 UTCOriginally, this comic was supposed to be around 40 pages long. It was meant to be just set-up > porn. That's why their relationship prior to the comic is told, not shown, it originally wasn't the point. But I was having fun with those characters so I bloated it up. Still, there's no plan to expand much on the backstory because there's really nothing to be shown that can't be inferred. It sure makes this comic a little hollow when the main thrust of their previous dynamic is hardly presented despite how relevant it is but at this point it seems completely worthless to go back and draw it.

2019-04-29 01:06:49 +0000 UTCyou know - I had forgotten how much history was sort of alluded to between these two, but never (afaik) expanded upon - it'd be tough, given the sort of like dramatic sexual climax you introduced these characters in the midst of, but where're you at on presenting some backstory? 'cause unless I've missed something (and I might have missed something) I haven't seen a prequel or anything like that.
