Update - Comics, wips & Patreon

It's been a while since I've posted any personal thought, and this stuff has been brewing in my head for months, I figure it's time to share what I've been thinking.

Comics

If you've been following my works for a while you'd know I love making comics, even if I never did them too often it's been a goal of mine for a long while. In the past few months I've both burned out and rekindled my love for making comics and now I think I've figured it out.
Once I'm done with Mansion Vacation Chapter 2 (SOON) I'll be changing format, I'll continue to draw single or double panel pieces with my OCs in that setting to slowly drive the ''plot'' forward but calling it a comic will be a bit far fetched.

I'll also continue to make comics but in a less refined manner, I have still to decide how, probably either with less shading or a more sketchy look. Since these will be lower effort I hope to do these more often, with a more varied cast of characters.

WIPs (Work in Progress)

It's been bugging me for a while; before Patreon, wips were my main way of posting ''regularly'' and interacting with fans and other artists, I added it to the rewards for Patreon without thinking about it too much. I'm thinking of changing that.
I'm also delaying public posts so maybe it wouldn't make sense to show the WIPs to non-Patrons.. But it could make for great advertisement which is definitely not my strongest suit.

 
Im leaning towards resuming public posting of occasional wips but I'm open to feedback, if you think it's of great value for the Patreon please let me know.

Patreon

As mentioned Im planning on changing the comics I draw and the wips I post on discord, but another thing I'm thinking of doing is more regular pinups with more variants which will stay Patreon exclusive for longer (thinking one month or so). For instance like the Predator and the Interstellar Demon Stripper.

I opened this page on February of this year, it's almost been one entire year. I'm pretty happy with how it's going, my financial goals are still ahead but I won't be dismayed.
I still struggle to divide my time between commissions and patreon related work but I feel like I'm slowly improving in that.

Last thing, me!

I don't talk about myself often and I think it's odd to do but you are all supporting me so I suppose telling you whats been going on is only fair.

Since around COVID I started drawing hoping to make this my career, I stopped my useless studies for a job I would've hated, to do this full time. It's kinda working, since 2020 my drawing skills have improved a lot, enough that there's 20+ of you supporting me here, right now.

Obviously stopping my studies and dropping my previous jobs isn't a smart thing to do financially and the only reason I can do this is my family is still supporting me. I pay back what I can but it's awful to be a burden.
Ah did I mention I live in one if not the most expensive country in the world? Yeah I'm Swiss.
I've been wanting to move out of the country for the last two years and now it's finally looking like I can make it happen.
September and October have been a huge months for me, I managed to do about 12 commissions which was intense but very rewarding.

I am very much looking forward to next year, ideally I'll manage to grow this platform further and will be able to draw less commissions and more of my own stuff.
