You noticed the Doctor's eyes during the opening credits. You might want to go back and check out the opening credits for Death In Heaven, just after Clara said she was the Doctor. ;)

2022-11-14 04:34:55 +0000 UTCAlso, the Dalek did say 'Mercy' before, but not to the Doctor, it was to River. So THE DOCTOR has never heard them say it, so it still works. This is just a story of how the Daleks learned that concept, just not linear as we as the audience have seen it before (the Daleks are all over time and space just like Time Lords are). Hence, a time travel show. NBD.
