Timeskip Arc update
Added 2025-12-02 09:04:44 +0000 UTCI'm not really sure how to start this one, as it was quite difficult to get back on here after so long, but here goes.
To be honest I don't know what happened at the end of October in regards to everything but I got hit with a massive episode of seasonal depression combined with burnout from basically writing nonstop for 2 years straight, which compounded with just feeling generally listless. At first I was still writing but just less than usual and then I just woke up one morning and stared at my laptop for like three hours without being able to write a single letter.
I spent the last month doing nothing but sleeping, eating, and occasionally going to the gym (which is probably the only thing that kept me going). I don't write this as an excuse, because I know it was really shitty to not send a message or anything until now, but the more time passed the harder it got to even face opening patreon or royalroad. I can only apologise to those of you who joined and trusted me to keep giving you what you paid for.
I have spent some of this morning going through the discord and the patreon and seeing all the messages from people worrying about me, which were very sweet and I am sorry for just disappearing off the grid like that.
Today I felt a little better, not sure why. I managed to write a chapter or so. I hope I can keep up some level of writing as we head towards the new year and into winter. Salt and Blood and Dao of Healing are having their amazon debut in January, so that's something to look forward to for readers and myself and hopefully something that can keep me motivated.
I can't promise any sort of consistent schedule in the immediate future, but I will also be posting 2 chapters for you to read after this drought. Thanks for your understanding and I hope you have a great December.

Seasonal depression (any depression really) sucks when it hits. The world just gets so heavy and blah for me anyway. Glad to hear you're alright and getting better. Have a happy December and New Year.
