Happy Saturday, My friends!
Here's some more concept art for Moonlit Spiral that I ended up reworking a bit so I could drop it in as a panel for a recent chapter. I think it's a pretty good representation of my ongoing adventure making this story! Plus I liked how this particular piece turned out so thought it'd be fun to share it with you this weekend. Feels like it has one of those "get of the house and go explore" kinda vibes. Something I'm frequently telling my two boys. Haha.
I'm having an absolute blast working on this book, despite the gnawing feeling in the back of my head that not many are going to care about it beyond myself. Fantasy and adventure stories were actually my first love though so it's been great untethering that part of me that isn't superheroes or sci-fi. Dunno if I'll ever make another book like this, but I'm glad I'll have at least one sitting next to the others I've done on my shelf.
Anyhoo, I finished Chapter Six last night which means roughly 100 more pages to go. That's about ten pages a week to meet my linework deadline of mid-September. Which isn't easy, but certainly not impossible. Than it's a mad rush to get the entire thing colored before March of next year. No rest for the cartoonist! Ever onward.
