Summer Heat

Hi, my friends! I'm back to sharing new scribbles with you. Apologies for the slight lack of it this month with convention prep, travels and whatnot. I'll work to make up for it.

The family and I returned home to some attention-starved cats and a bit of a dusty Florida home late Friday night. I spent the majority of the weekend unpacking, doing inventory, prepping your preorders for shipping (they'll be going out this week!*), emaaaaiiiillling, and lamenting the sudden loss of a very good friend.

Early Sunday evening I was finally able to sit down at my Cintiq and unwind with some sketching. I didn't know who, or even what, I was going to sketch, other than trying not to succumb to my default of Batgirl and/or Supergirl. Somehow I ended up at Rachel Summers here. Likely due to a lot of Askani chatting at Heroes last weekend, the solstice a few days ago, the intense seasonal heat and--thinking about it now--the subconscious idea of a phoenix; rising from death into new life.

Now I have a lottttt of graphic novel drawing ahead of me if I'm to stay on schedule. So with that, I wish you all a wonderful start of the work week!

*Those who ordered the tryptic of Kara, Babs and Donna, those orders will arrive a little later or separately due to the fact that I had to order tubes for them. Shouldn't be long though. Once I feel comfortable everyone's preorders have shipped and no one is missing anything, I'll put my remaining stock up online and--as usual--tell patrons first when I do.
