Back Home (and relaxing)

Hi all! An update on all things medical wise with yours truly.

First off, let me say I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of concern, support and well-wishes expressed over the past few days. It really does mean the world to me and has solidified how much I love this little community of awesome readers and fans who have accumulated here.

Second: I am back home! Yay! Three days in the hospital, a couple cat scans and ultrasounds later and the official diagnosis is... (drum roll) "inflammation in the colon and small intestine." 😒

Apparently, this can cause severe pain and if left untreated can result in possibly having part of your intestine removed. SO, I'm glad I went in and got it checked. The frustrating part is no one at the hospital seemed to know how it might have happened or even if that was the only thing wrong with me. That leaves a few reservations about my medical care and apprehensiveness that the issue is just going to return later this year. Crossing my fingers it doesn't.

Regardless, other then a slightly fatigued and weaker body than usual, I'm feeling MUCH better and happy to be home with my wife, boys, cats, and drawing software. The latter of which I'm eager to get back to using so will likely have some new art to share with you sooner rather than later. Going to make sure I take some time to relax today though because I really can't afford any more medical mishaps this year. My graphic novel isn't just going to draw itself!
