Moonlit Spiral: Mountainside Respite

Was thinking that every other Friday might be a nice day (or night in this case) to share more Moonlit Spiral stuff. Or possibly every third Friday if I don't want to get too far ahead of myself.

Since my last few MS posts were sharing the main cast, I thought it'd be nice to end a very busy week with a lighthearted illustration of all if them hanging out in the middle of their journey. This was one of a few concepts pieces I drew while trying to figure out the right style and tone for the book. I'd honestly like to continue doing more of these even long after I've finished the graphic novel. They're just really fun and cathartic to draw and there's so much of the world I never got to include in my final draft. I guess it depends on how tired I am of drawing everyone by the and of the year!

Anyhoo, here's an alternate version where that giant spiral rock is replaced by Globby. I changed it after coming up with Mango instead. Still something mirthful to me about this version. :)
