Here's my answers to last week's questions. Only three this time so maybe this isn't looking like that popular of a feature. That's okay! We'll try one more time in a few weeks and retire this if there's still a lack of interest. :)

Going to HeroesCon this year?

I'm not unfortunately. I won't be doing any shows this year. I'm just far too busy with two graphic novel deadlines to make time for any convention prep and travel.

I am however planning on doing something special to make up for it on this Patreon though so keep an eye out for that this summer!

Are there any characters on the Marvel side that you have an affinity for similar to Supergirl/Batgirl, that you wish you had time to draw more of?

Believe it or not, I'm actually much more of a Marvel Zombie than a DC one. I always say I  grew up reading Marvel and watching DC. So most of my DC knowledge is from the cartoons.

Anyways, to actually answer your question: Most of, if not all the X-Men. Especially Kitty Pryde (she's my favorite). I've come to love some more recent characters too, like Ms. Marvel and Kate Bishop. I'd drop almost everything to do something with She-Hulk. And lately, I'm really into drawing Spidey (for reasons most of you have probably been able to discern already).

In the current market, I’m always curious how artists like yourself weigh drawing on paper so you can sell the originals versus drawing digitally for the time savings and increased control that provides. As someone who draws for a living, how do sales play into your thinking?

For me, it pretty much comes down to time and quality. I feel I not only do my best work on the Cintiq but it's quicker for me too. When deadlines are looming, and contracts are in breach by missing those, that speed is far more important than maybe making a few extra dollars selling originals. I'm happier with the work I produce too.

So sales don't really play into my thinking much at all (even if maybe they should). I just want my comics to look the best they can in the time I'm given to make 'em. :)

Thanks for the great questions!
