Hi all, happy to announce that Hazel 2024.1 has now officially been released! π
As well as a release tag (Hazel-2024.1), there is also a 2024.1 branch in the repository, which has been made the default branch. This branch obviously contains the 2024.1 release of Hazel, but also allows the team to continue to support this version by pushing bug fixes. This should be helpful going forward to those of you who wish to use specific versions of Hazel for your projects, as you will continue to receive fixes without necessarily having to embrace/upgrade to new versions of the engine.
We're still putting together release notes, documentation, and a video to highlight the new features of this release. If you have any issues with 2024.1, please open a GitHub issue at https://github.com/StudioCherno/Hazel/issues and specify that you're using 2024.1. As mentioned, the team will continue to support 2024.1 so we will try our best to triage and fix outstanding issues.
Hazel 2024.1 in my eyes constitutes our most solid, useable release to date, and I'd love to get more of you using it. As such, as well as embarking on some game projects myself, I'll also be spending some time putting together better documentation, tutorials, and videos on how to use Hazel, which will hopefully help lots of you learn how to use the engine.
If you need help using Hazel, or if you'd like to discuss your issue in more detail, please create a new post in the β #hazel-forum channel on Discord (https://discord.gg/thecherno).
Thank you all for your amazing support, and for making the development of Hazel possible. We've got some very exciting things in the works (as usual) for future releases which I can't wait to share! β€οΈ
