IMPORTANT HAZEL ANNOUNCEMENT!!

Hi everyone, hope you're all well! This is an important announcement for those of you who would like access to the Hazel repository (and other private repositories).

TL;DR - go to git.hazelengine.com to get access to private repositories.

We've switched from GitLab back to GitHub! Those of you who have been around for a while may remember we used to use GitHub back in the day for all of our repository hosting, however switched to GitLab because it provided finer grain permissions and was a little easier to us to manage from an administration point of view.

Recently GitLab decided to change their free-tier user limits for private repositories, down to just five. For reference, there are currently around 500 of you in the repository. Upgrading to a paid tier was not an option, as it would cost $19 per user per month, which is more expensive than our Patreon $10 per month Supporter III tier which grants you access in the first place. Even though this sounds wild for us, overall it makes sense because usually professional software teams would be using GitLab at this level, and this cost would be fine for them. GitHub currently doesn't have such limits, and being owned by Microsoft (who seems increasingly more and more nice these days) gives us some confidence that they won't need to introduce these limits to raise money in the future. And so, this brings us back to GitHub, the original home of Hazel.

We also took this opportunity to massively improve the way access is handled. Instead of having to message me directly and wait for me to manually give you access, this system is now automated! All you have to do is go to git.hazelengine.com and follow the instructions to get access yourself, instantly. When you stop being a Patron, you'll automatically get removed when your billing period ends.

Speaking of billing periods - we've also switched to Patreon's new billing schedule! This means that if you sign up on the 26th of a month, you'll get charged monthly on the 26th - not on the 1st! This doesn't apply to existing Patron's (you'll be billed on the 1st), but all new Patron's (including you if you cancel and then sign up again) will use this model.
