Wolgraha Week Day 1: First Meeting

HAPPY WOLGRAHA WEEK!

I prepared a little something for it! Actually, this one was...kinda of a surprise for me, too. It's NOT the first one I was working on! Originally I was only going to make one animation, but after I finished that one I had this idea and thought I could rush it out.

For those interested, wolgrahaweek is being organized by this account on bluesky! There's already a lot of fun stuff being posted under the hashtag already! I think I'm spending a lot of time refreshing it today...

First day prompt is "First Meeting", so I elaborated a little bit on something I showed briefly on this video already.

Lizard was not very expressive back then, and had a reputation of being stoic, quiet and intimidating. She really didn't speak much, and always looked serious and angry. People either respected from afar for being "the Warrior of Light" and a powerful person, or viewed her as a tool or weapon to solve problems when they needed someone to strike people down. The truth was, she's just very socially inept...and in this case, didn't know how to act with a very cute man wiggling his cat ears in front of her. I wouldn't say it was "love at first sight", but he was definitely her first crush! He had a lot of things she liked and thought she lacked: he was charismatic, approachable, excited for adventure, semed to be always enjoying the moment. Someone she'd love to know and be with (and someone that inspired her to change in the future!).

After that first meeting, she'd stare at him from afar, trying to figure out how to approach him. Her fear was him thinking of her like everyone else did. Everyone thought she was just angry with him instead for doing that aethersand stunt, and didn't want to get involved. G'raha didn't feel threatened at all, and when he had the opportunity, he was the one that started conversation, and they quickly became close. He didn't view her as a tool or as a "stoic warrior", but just as she was - plus the obvious admiration for her skills and heroism, that she actually struggled to see it in herself before meeting him. <3
