Hi everyone! I hope you are doing very well. Today I wanted to show you a little breakdown for 2 shots that I've been working on this week with Link and Zelda. The main idea here is to show you the big picture in 3 different steps that I go throught when I work on each shots. Here Link and Zelda are getting hurt by a Ganondorf attack. I wanted to make a slo motion shot to make this more dramatic.
1)-First I start with a storyboard. If you saw the previous post I plan my shots first on paper with small drawings to find the camera angle, composition and main poses of the characters.
2)-Then I switch in 3ds max where I animate the characters and use basic shapes to help me get a feel for the vfx. I split my viewport in 2. On the left I have my camera angle and on the right my viewport where I work.
3)-After that I send my character animations in Unreal Engine where I create my camera, lighting, backgrounds, vfx and then the final rendering of the shot :)
There are more steps before after that but I don't to be too technical here haha.
Thank you all for your support everyone!
