2023 in Review

End of 2023 is here! This is going to be a long post. Post also feels a little weird with all the pillows up above, but just roll with it.

I'm taking a look at how things went this year and my plans for the future.

Let's get the negative out of the way first. On a personal/mental level, this year was absolutely terrible. I lost two pets, had to move, and lots of other real life problems. Everything wrong that could happen did happen.

I'm not going to brood over it though, so let's look at all the positive.

Here's all characters I painted each month:

• January: Dorothea, New Jersey, Chloe
• February: Gabriel, Lumera, Yunaka, Nelson
• March: Ivy. Triandra, Seidr, Aversa, Implacable
• April: Nel, Chikuma, Lyn, Atago
• May: Camilla, Nerthuz, Goldmary
• June: Shamir and Catherine, Byleth, Micaiah
• July: Ivy, Taihou
• August: Tiki, Ayra and Mercedes, Mym, Fjorm, Gullveig, Himeko, Ymir
• September: Kagero and Orochi, Kashino, Gullveig, Mercury
• October: Timerra, Cherche, Idunn, Peony, Pneuma
• November: Freyja, Micaiah, Tharja, Mary Celeste, Ginnungagap, Caeda, Tiki, Mym
• December: Lucina's crotch, Takao, Yunaka, Camilla, Cleo, Nerthuz, Hanya

Not included are sketch requests and a few commissions. While there can be a case made for details for variants changing and how simple some of these are, I think it's pretty safe to say I've been painting more than ever. I paint everyday now, take care of my health to avoid migraines, and despite terrible setbacks, do my best to remain relatively happy.

That said! There's still many room for improvements and things I need done for 2024. My current list is:

• Finish Fire Emblem Engage.
• Start posting on other social medias to expand the ciderempire.
• Get in better physical shape to avoid more migraines.
• Finish my monthly polls within the same month (sorry!).
• Maybe stop saying something will be done the next day but then add 1-3 days onto it or forget about it entirely (Sorry again!).
• Maybe stop saying sorry so much (Sorry sorry!)

Other than that, all I hope to continue for 2024 is painting my favorites. Nothing makes me happier, so to continue it for a living would be amazing. I'd say other plans, but I think we all know how I tend to start things then change ideas halfway through (Sorry I'll also improve this!) Probably more of the usual and more! 

Now to end things off, let me talk about the best part of 2023, which all of you! Thank you everyone. Thank you for the support along the way, whether you've been a long time supporter, brand new, or actually decided you hate my work, you've really helped make this year much more bearable. Without all of you, my art wouldn't be possible. Wanting to make art for you all helps me stay motivated and put my best into what I do. So, thank you all again. :D
