Neytiri was quite literally the only person who didn’t seem to care for him. Every one else did. He grew up with them. Played with them. Learned from them. Betraying them for some random ass guy he comes across is really crazy

It was clear even though he was raised by Naavi he was never really part of the family. Like Neytiri being fully willing to kill him was kinda the icing on the cake. Even in the beginning he got taken and they didn't really care. It's not because they dislike him but he's just not a part of their group like that. Spider saving Quaritch was definitley shitty but writing wise it made sense given Quaritch actually saw Spider like family and was willing to sacrifice his own goals for him. Definitely hateable character but not bad writing imo.

Also I believe chalking it up to “they’re children” is some of the laziest writing you can do lol. It was a weird way to push the plot. Something goes wrong, oh it’s because one of the kids made a dumb mistake. Idk it’s watered down to me and isnt as impactful as an actual problem being made

Spider and his dad plot goes over peoples heads guess it’s hard to understand. At base value it’s hard to get . And loak is a good character and yeah I can see both sides . I think one thing that is constantly forgotten is that they are children. They don’t make wise decisions they make stupid decisions. The older brother had strict parenting so he was different. Also I love the corporal his ark goes across movies that’s what James said . I wish I could sit and explain things so you could understand! It’s too much to type!!
