Uh no? There are A LOT of unlicensed horse girls in every season, mostly just background characters, but even in S1 you have Montjeu being called "Broye"

2025-05-06 21:34:47 +0000 UTCFrom what I understand, Cinderella Gray is the only official Uma Musume piece of media that has horse girls whose names don't match up exactly with the IRL racehorse counterpart and are not characters in the gacha (for example, Belno Light is loosely based on a racehorse named Twin Bee). I'm guessing that the mangaka did this to allow them to write asshole/villainous horse girls without tarnishing the images of any of the existing characters in the gacha since CyGames specifically requested the Cinderella Gray manga to be more akin to shonen sports dramas rather than what we usually get in the main Pretty Derby seasons.
