there was also gonna be a deleted scene where we would've saw Doc break down and pass away in the movie, but the audiences found it so cry-worthy and depressing that they had to delete it

2025-02-22 01:08:34 +0000 UTCThe alternate ending was actually different. Sterling told Lightning not to race despite making the deal with him earlier in the movie. Sterling gave "95" to Cruz and she thought it was wrong, but Lightning allowed her to keep it so that she could finally have her chance to race. Smokey then came in clutch by speaking with Tex so that Lightning could finally join Dinoco and be in the race with "51" which was Doc's number.
