It's technically "fantasy," but like.... I just simply consider it more supernatural, while fantasy to me is more like....magic and dragons and shit. But yeah, this shit needs a massive overhaul on how it's done.

2024-03-03 17:26:17 +0000 UTCMy biggest issues: 1) They call it the 2024 awards when it's for the year of 2023. The awards happen in EARLY 2024, that's hardly grounds for naming it for that year when it's obviously covering 2023 anime. 2) Despite it being CALLED 2024, and covering anime that aired in 2023, they still have single-cour anime from 2022, because of their wack-ass cutoff point. Chainsaw Man and Bocchi the Rock should not have even been eligible for this one, and should have been last year's. Likewise, Frieren should've been in the running for this one (though at least with Frieren, the season extends into 2024 so for the "2025" awards, I'm relatively cool with it being a candidate). 3) The crunchyroll awards are more or less considered "THE" anime awards, despite the above issues. Other sites who have their own awards do it at a more logical time (December, or even early January), and they actually call it the year the awards are for.
