I’m anime only for Undead Unluck so seeing Fuko pull a gun definitely gives a different tone to her character. Doesn’t even seem like character development to me though. Just seems mad out of character for her to pull a gun on a civilian. I think the anime version works better for the anime. I don’t read the manga so maybe she’s been through sum shit idk.

2024-02-17 01:54:26 +0000 UTCTo clarify, Osamu Tezuka didn't write the story for Pluto, as Tezuka was long dead before that started publication; Pluto is written by Naoki Urasawa. Tezuka instead wrote Astro Boy, which Pluto is loosely based on, and is generally considered to be the godfather of manga and anime, since Astro Boy became one of the first TV animes produced ever.

2024-02-16 21:43:54 +0000 UTCI wonder if they actually did animate it truthfully to the manga, but then the higher ups for some reason were like, "Nah. We can't let you do this. Change it" or some shit. I REALLY wanna give david production the benefit of the doubt if possible, because they have been doing good work with the adaptation (apart from the recap stuff). Or maybe it's a "Hulu/Disney/simulcast in America" type of deal. Idk. I would love to get a concrete explanation from one of the animators or something, just for the sake of transparency.
