Season 2 of Rurouni Kenshin is literally the Kyoto Arc, which is the most well-known arc of the series/franchise. When ppl think of Rurouni Kenshin, they think of that arc. Season 1 really is meant to establish "This is Kenshin. He's a chill rurouni now. He likes his slow life. But he'll turn up when he has to." So you'll get some slow episodes that suit the vibe of Kenshin's new life. But it really wasn't that bad lol. But yeah, S2 is arch-nemesis time.

2023-12-27 22:37:16 +0000 UTCI'll put my opinion on SHY since I think you forgot that on the list (probably cuz you dropped it) lol; I would put it in high D tier. There's an arc near the end of the cour that's actually pretty good for about 4 episodes, but the rest is pretty meh. They are doing a cour 2 in 2024, so I might check out a few episodes to see if I stick around or not. As for Rurouni Kenshin, that season tested my patience at times (some arcs are really good, and some are really boring imo), though I am checking out season 2 since it's supposed to be peak. Lastly, really excited for Dangers in My Heart in January. I read through the entire manga after season 1, so I have a feeling that season 2 might be one of my favorite romcom seasons in anime ever assuming the directing and music stays as good as season 1.
