Year's End Conference Hall

God damn, genuinely holy shit for how this year has gone for me. I think I've had the highest highs and the lowest lows in a long long time. A lot of things have happened in my personal life, my artistic life, my work life-- just everything you can imagine has taken a lot of dramatic turns for better and worse. Generally this year is ending in a very positive space after having a very melodramatic beginning.

I don't want to detail a lot of my personal life, but as I am an artist who works what I think and feel into art it's hard to really separate the two sometimes. Around the end of the first third of this year I ended a three year relationship with someone I genuinely loved with all my heart, obvious separate life paths were ahead of us but it was still soul crushing. Through that I did a lot of planning on how to take initiative on what I wanted to do with what I'm making creatively. Sometimes I set barriers on what I make to satisfy those around me, despite a lot of folks around me not caring what I do, at all. Thankfully I've regained control of my creative process sometime towards the middle of this year and you've seen the fruits of progress. Do not worry about me and my romantic life, I hope that what I create proves I am a lover by nature and through that positive spirit I'll continue to uplift myself and create beyond that.

Around this time I tried to prove my word by delving into merchandise, something I've wanted to do personally for a long time as I am a lover of physical goods. What an incredibly frustrating challenge that I cannot wait to detail more next year. I want to express my apologies for everyone who is waiting for their acrylic standee, as I am one of those as well, I did not understand how long that would take and I was assured multiple times that it would have been delivered before the holiday season. Please please please be patient and I'm going to make sure things like this attached to my creations never happen again.

On the upside, I have done a lot of personal research and planning to provide a direct solution of merchandise managed by a good friend and myself. This plan might come to pass in February when I write out everything I need to do and after tax season is over... Expect shirts, standies and a lot of niche merch that I've want to make for a long time. Not all of it is sexy, but all of it is Yummy Goods.

If you haven't read any of the other previous monthly notes, I've made it very clear that I am changing the way that my subscription sites are operating as the months pass. I am doing one fan art drawing poll a month and an OC poll is taking up the second slot instead. I want to move away from fan art and focus on the world I'm building. I know fanart brings a lot of focus to what I make through someone else's creations and is generally a good booster, but I don't want to use that as a crutch. I find the art I make that's the best is when it is stuff that I make with my characters and things that I put my whole heart into. Now- that being said I have put my heart into a lot of fanart drawings like the ones I released this month with Pomni and Gallica, and I will continue to make the best I can with fanart to come. Just know that instead of two exclusive fanart drawings a month you will gain access to one exclusive fanart drawing and one early access OC drawing that you vote on. I hope this familiarizes people with my creations more.

The Start of 2025
2025 is literally in two days as of posting this, so I want to outline some things I have planned for January. First we have the Patchouli exclusive that will be finished on the first of January. This is the first drawing that I will have made with my new laptop, which I spent 7 fucking hours making sure the colors on the monitor are correct-- This is one of the biggest frustrations this year.
Next I will be making a new character to start off the new year. This character was hinted at in the Yummy Good's 1st Annual Popularity Contest story where I wrote about how everyone of my characters would respond when being put into this contest. Hayasa, the Mascot of a plus-sized active wear line that appears in Faeona's workplace, has a mascot suiter! You'll learn all about this new mysterious character and just how they fit into the story. Here's a hint: Faeona hates him.
After that the first ever early access poll will hit the subscription sites! That means you get to vote on what character of mine I want to draw next and the plans I have for them. Popular characters will show up, unpopular characters, fetishisms you like, fetishisms you haven't seen me draw yet. Drama! Action! Romance! Hate! As a final note on this, these early access drawings do not have a delivery deadline. This means that they are not guaranteed to be posted on the 15th of every month but will appear between the 14th-21st of every month. More than likely they will still be delivered on the 15th but if there's more than one character involved it will need more time.

I always try to make sure to properly thank every single one of you at the end of these little posts because without your financial support and encouragement I have no idea how much progress I would have actually made as an artist. Of course I'm doing this for myself but seeing how you guys love what I make, or even hate specific things I make, it makes me know I'm doing something right. Even when a drawing of mine isn't that popular, the fact that I know that folks do love it and that some people are just wrong fuels me a lot..  Even those of you who absolutely adore an art piece of mine and it gets super popular, it's crazy that I even have that amount of outreach. I just make to see that I can. I create what I like, what I know and a world that is happy through it's own cruel veil. Happy New Year everyone, to a better one in 2025.
