I fucking hate Apple.

As it is now, users are charged the 1st of the month to gain all of the content for that month. If you subscribe in April, you get all of April's content and the previous months and have to reup the sub on the first of May (Example). Apple is forcing everyone to change this on Patreon, and listen I fucking hate Patreon too but it's a good place for me to give you guys stuff in a way that allows me to create and have these projects go through.

What to do about it? Well nothing, unless you use the iOS app to pay me, nothing will be effected for you until the end of 2025, and then by 2025 it'll automatically switch to "You only get charged the day you sign up" ala Netflix and every other subscription.

The Problem With that:

The problem is that the way I have rewards set is that for images it's fine that you get one the first and 15th of every month, that won't change, but for project supporters if i decide to make a post on the 28th and you subbed on the 27th but the previous month I posted a project supporter post on the 26th, you essentially miss out on an entire update. This puts pressure on ME as a creator to change the way I operate to make sure that you as a user get the most out of your subscription.

Yeah I guess you can boil this down to me whining but if I ever get the chance to say fuck Apple and I hope Steve Jobs can come back to life so I could personally kill him-- then I'll do it. The space to make money online is completely revolved around iOS and Apple's policies on trying to suck as much money out of people as possible. And even if this is a minor thing, the fact that anything has to change at all to work around an evil company is terrible.

If you use the Patreon iOS app you will not be able to financially support me through the app starting November 2024. This is a decision made by Patreon by the way I want to use this service. If you have a problem with that, switch to my subscribe star adult, or use patreon through your web browser on your iphone/ipad.

Yeah I'm pissed off, yeah I have a reason to be, no this really doesn't effect you unless you use iOS Patreon, no the quality of my content won't change, you will still get what you paid for. I'll figure out what the fuck to do about my consistency with Project updates so I can deliver them once a month to you all. I hate this shit as much as you probably do too. I depend on this paycheck happening consistently once a month and not sparsely through the entire month. It just bugs the hell out of me and again, this isn't a change that's happening anytime soon. I've been given the heads up and I've given them the middle finger.
