A note on hype and spoilers

Hi everyone. With the excitement from the 0.7 launch starting to die down, my focus is shifting now to the future, and finishing the Reign of Jess, a story which has divided opinion among the school community far more than I expected. Still, you, my backers seem to love it, so that's what's important!

Anyway, on Wednesday I'll do the retrospective, as I like to include the public in that, as it's not like their opinion doesn't matter to me at all, so for today, let's round off one quick bit of business from before the Christmas break.

You may remember this poll that I ran about a month ago - between Christmas and the launch, I never got chance to follow up. Since engagement at the time was low, I wanted to find out more about people's habits for checking in - was I overdoing it posting three times a week when some devs will post twice a month? Turns out that no, the majority of you like to see what I'm up to every time I post, so of course, I'll keep doing that and with the same regularity.

The real take-away for me from this poll was the question of how many of you like to avoid hype and spoilers - and since that number is above zero, and quite significantly so, from now on, all preview posts or anything with revelations pertaining to the new content will be clearly labelled with a spoiler warning, much as I do for the deep dive posts. In a later post, we'll talk about how much people do like to know before a release, as while there are some things I like to make sure I'm keeping a surprise, I also sometimes feel like maybe I'm giving too much away. We'll let a poll answer it soon anyway.
