The Modernisation agenda

Hello everyone!

Work on the mini-update proceeds steadily. Much of the work to do this involves going over older events and adding new dialogue, options and outcomes that reflect the outcome of Avenging Angel - the rest of the school could be reacting to you turning up with red ribbons, or to the rise of the bad girls, or to a popular girl clampdown on their enemies, so there's a lot to do.

One thing I've been taking the opportunity to do as I'm going is bring a few older bits up to code that got missed out in the upgrade to MZ, including some stuff that hasn't been touched since the initial release.

The late bad girl event, for example, has not only the above lovely new render in which Britney will make you kiss her panties, (and we know how much she loves doing that to you,) but has also had its very old 0.1-era pictures redone. Let's take a look at some side-by sides.

Massive improvements in the definition and map work, plus some subtle reposing make Missy's naked humiliation that much clearer now, and as always, lighting improvements bring the girls features out much better than before.

You can also stand victoriously over her in a much nicer render should you beat her now too. Or you can avoid the conflict altogether if you're a bad girl...

It won't all be getting this treatment, there isn't time for that, but as I mentioned during the remaster, this will be an ongoing project and when it's the right time for each scene to undergo this treatment, they will. Meanwhile, I'm already onto the next bit - how do you think Jess will react to you becoming a bad girl? Or to the new power she'll gain as Poppy starts to take control? Or to the resurgent Popular Girls if Poppy lost? It's all going in there!
