Season's Greetings

Hello all, and welcome to the last update of 2022 (Besides the picture pack, which I'll get done sometime between now and the end of December.)

It's been an amazing year for Missy.  This time last year, we had all just finished playing Christmas Eva and Chapter 3 on the old VX Ace version.  In the time since, the game has been fully migrated to the new version and the quality of the images has increased in leaps and bounds (even though I do say so myself.)

Year of the Lesbian

2022 kicked off strong in January with the last VX Ace release, 0.4 which gave us Queen of the Ring. This was the 8th quest in the game and had won a surprise victory in the poll that decided it.  (In retrospect, not that surprising as it had Jessica's name on it.)

In March, I hit on the  ̶i̶n̶s̶a̶n̶e̶  genius idea to remaster the entire game from the ground up.  This was tested on Christmas Eva, then overwhelmingly backed by a full supporter vote.  The work that was done on 0.5 was put on ice and over the course of the next several months, all of the images, maps, sprites and code were overhauled. The work was worth it though, and over summer, I put out a series of open beta releases, which found and fixed most problems.

2022 finished strong, with the long-awaited release of 0.5, which gave us The Reign of Jess (Part 1), a story I've looked forward to starting for so long now.  This was closely followed this month by A Christmas Karen.  However, in a shock result, the school council decided not to continue The Reign of Jess in the next update, and we'll have to wait a little longer for that.

Year of the Lesbian (Again)

So now we look forward to 2023, and our new focus is Avenging Angel, the tenth Missy quest and the second part of Poppy's 3-part arc.  This will technically be an act 2 quest, but its interaction with the main storyline is minimal, so it's fine for it to be implemented now.  

In the new year, we'll be meeting new girl Angel properly as well as talking about some of the other characters who'll be getting a bigger role in this story. Angel and Melanie already have proper face sets and we'll have a look at how the very different threads of the various endings to the first part of Poppy's story come together in this new quest.

I'm very excited about what's in store for Missy in 2023.  I said the same thing about 2022 and look how that turned out!  So here's to another great year of smut, schoolgirls and sapphic...ness!
