So where are we up to?

Hello, everyone!  Another week comes to an end, so it's time for us to have a quick look at what I'm up to at the moment.  The good new is that writing is well on track for Chapter 4, and I now have some renders done, so we can start to have a look at some teasers soon.  Above, we can see another small preview of Chapter 4 - Missy is probably getting used to that view by now.

As I've been working on Chapter 4, I have worked on a few new techniques to further improve the game.  It's funny, when I look back at some of the old punishment scenes (the s-word sets Patreon off, but you know what I mean,) the static images in them are so much worse than the semi-animated ones we've started to get used to in more recent updates.  To this, I have now begun to tentatively add fully animated scenes.  

As I've mentioned, these are large in file-size terms, and it can be a pain to make them loop nicely in RPG Maker, but we'll be seeing the first few in Chapter 4.  I may eventually end up concluding that simply making higher framerate image sequences fits the software better, but for now, experimentation continues.

At some point, once I've figured this out, I'll probably go back over those old scenes and bring them up to modern standards.  I imagine you'd all like to see the Karen's office and end-of-day punishment sequences brought up to snuff with everything I've learned since the release of 0.1, right?

A quick word on last week's poll.  Here are the results:

A fairly strong majority for seeing the potential in characters, with a decent chunk convinced by things characters have done already.  Very few votes for the physical appearance of the models, which makes sense, as almost all the girls who performed well in the poll seemingly did so based on the fact that they bully Missy or are likely to do so, and so it seems the overwhelming majority vote based on the interactions between the characters.  

But then we knew this already, as Jessica's runaway popularity shows.  While I hope you agree with me that her character model is indeed a hottie, it is her fiery and cruel disposition that endears so many of you to her.  And with that being the case, I'm going to go back to writing her greatest story yet!
