MJ and Matt don't really want eachother longterm this feels like a status, relationships are more of a unwritten expectation for people with how expensive the economy is. Religion is like politics or any beliefs people weaponize them to justify their actions good or bad. To be fair, there have been many seasons where a bunch of men go first, and a man still ends up winning (BB5, BB8, BB10, BB11, BB15, BB17, BB23). This usually happens because the women are too catty, so one man makes it to the end. Makensy and Chelsie sonewhat got along because they are religious, and both have gay brothers. Also, Cedric and Brooklyn got booted, so Chelsie needed Allies. The fans talk about Matt more than most of the BB26, because even they know that most of the cast is boring as hell. If he's so irrelevant, they wouldn't give him any attention. Chelsie got mad last week that people compared Mickey weaponizing religion to what she did last season. Matt is tanner than the average white and Asian man, so I could see how he fits the "tall, dark, and handsome" label, as well as religious. White women NEVER refer to black men as that. If they have children, their child probably won't be tanned. I don't know how Matt was raised, but a lot of wasians (especially men) tend to not like their self hating Asian mothers, and racist fathers, but hold some of the self hating pathologies (hence them simping over white women). This might be why he puts up with Makensy, and idolizes her. Think of Dominic and Daniele, and Zach this season idolizing anything about white women. Makensy was getting annoyed that Leah was mentioning her connection to Matt (this was around the time Chelsie convinced MK to give Matf a chance after the show), so the Leah move was very petty.
