In McD, for the lesser ordered sides like Fillets/Veggie portions/fish fingers (even apple pies here), there's very few quantity in the UHC (Universal Holding Cabinet where patties are kept toasty) and so when 2 are ordered in one go, that's usually the ready-to-go stock gone. They would then have to fry up a frozen fresh one which takes a few minutes. Apple pies are around 6min and that's a lifetime to the McManagers...
