Updates and W.I.Ps

Hey guys!

If you haven't yet, please read this last post to know why I was innactive recently! Again, I want to emphasize that I have not completely stopped working on content but things are definetely going slower!


Now to the W.I.Ps I will go in order of thing's Ive been working during this period! There's a lot so buckle up for a long post! Full of examples! Some spicy ones! (Large gifs below give it a while to load)

New particle hair geo-nodes!

First of all, I want to preset you a new particle hair geo-node setup I've been working for months now! I stopped with it for a bit so I could go back to animate, but after things normalize I will go back to working on it again and possibly add it for my models to give them that more cinematic look!

This setup wasn’t fully created by me, but it was heavily adapted since the previous version wasn’t compatible with Blender and didn’t have all the functions I needed. Here’s another example of the setup + shader:

Fortnite Importing and some fun!

Right after that journey, an artist friend pointed out that I haven’t made Fortnite content in a while, so I decided to revisit it, relearn how to import their models, and of course, did some testing with them.

Those are fortnite emotes not my anim (Ofc I had to slap a d1ck on them)

Well let's just say I had a little experience with a guy who kinda reminds me of this cap dude skin called Wrangler, and that got me obsessed with him for a bit:

These are not really worked on animations just quick tests I put together and for fun! Dont consider it as *content*

Then I moved to working on the Myers x Gabriel animation part 2!

First, I had to rig this car since it will be heavily used in the upcoming animation! You’ll get a glimpse below! The full model is packed with lattices for easier deformation. It took me a while to figure out, but it was definitely worth it, and I’ll use this technique on future projects as well!

Heres a quick render I did of it in the version of the Lampkin Lane map I was working on for the animation! 

The original plan was to release this animation for Halloween, believe it or not, but it got pushed back to the end of the year, and then I got sick. Here are some work-in-progress clips. These are quite old, and I've refined (but not rendered yet) them. Please don't take these as anywhere near the final result.

These happens right after the part 1 finished and I will make a version while it transitions between the animations into a single larger animation. Again, Myers will be the top in this one.

Then I saw Hazard, Overwatch's new stud- I mean, tank.

Although his visual reception wasn't the greatest, I actually really liked the character, his personality and accent just make him even better for me.

Anyways, believe it or not, I started working on him basically the day he was up for testing, long before his season started. I worked on him a lot, and he’s by far the most complex model I’ve ever created. I also had to re-learn and study the whole Daz creation process again since I wanted to use some functionality I’d never made work before. I plan to go into detail on this in a YouTube video (more news on this later).

I would give you a full tour showing off his materials, shape keys, rig, etc., but then this post would never end. I will record a video showcasing the model in the near future! I hope you like him so far!


And of course, all this work on the model wasn’t going to be in vain. My plan was to release a small animation featuring him this month, but unfortunately, I won’t be able to finish it because of my health problems. Still, I will be working on both his animation and Myers' animation, and hopefully soon you’ll all be able to enjoy it! I will keep you updated with more frequent posts (I’ll try) so we don’t end up with huge posts like this one. You probably saw it as the post art, but here you can see again the Oasis map I extracted and animated—every bit of this... graffiti? Well, the map looks amazing!

The map and models will be released in the future! Even the map have different lightining setups, animation speeds, effects toggler etc! It doesnt look like it but A LOT of work was putting into this! I did not just get it from an extraction tool ready and boom, no.

I know it isn’t the fancy new animation you were expecting, but I wanted to make sure you know that your support isn’t going to waste, and I am, in fact, working on things! As I get better, things should speed up again, and there will be a lot of new content for you to enjoy!
