progress update

Hey everyone,

I've been chipping away at the game, but I find myself getting bogged down with learning how to use renpy. That combined with me spending my weekend prepping for thanksgiving, means I'll be shooting for a mid to late December release date. It could be done a little sooner, but I won't make any promises.

That being said, work is coming along. I'm up to 1345 rendered images, with probably about   100 more to go. that would be roughly 2 animations and 10-20 standalone images. Most of the work left to do is writing. I'd say I have about 25% of the writing done. I'll be sure to give another update on progress in a week.

I have all the scenes outlined in my head, but there is a big difference between an outline and a fully flushed out script. That being said, I will often have to go back and render a few more images as I flush out the story.

Thats an interesting take :O so you make images before you have story/writing? I mean you must plan something with them, but does this mean you'll bend the writing to match the scenes? (I'm just legit curious because its kinda backwards from everything I know about planning/structure)

My friend tried to learn python and by means renpy. Like any new language, it isn't an easy feat. But if you keep working on it I'm sure you will pull through. : ) most of the big patreons use renpy, because once you get it down, it can give you a lot of options.
