As the ultimate showdown between Team Eren and Team Zeke begins, the Scouts work well perfectly together to distract the Beast Titan and Cart Titan while Eren takes on the War Hammer Titan and Jaw Titan. Eren ruthlessly manhandles the Jaw Titan using him to eat the War Hammer Titan! Just as it seems Eren and the Scouts have flawlessly defeated Zeke and the other Titans, Reiner spawns into a newly developed form of the Armored Titan!

That's not an upgrade for Reiner, it's just his titan form without the armor, he is so tired he couldn't generate armor when transforming
