That just lead to a few asks we've been getting about these fools! I'm gonna put the questions in bold & plop our responses here so that I'm keeping people's privacy!

 "WELL Bonnie and Lucy are technically in Some Alternate/Different Universe, so I don't know if the actual Moby Dick would exist for them. There could maybe be an equivalent, but regardless--Bonnie doesn't spend a lot of time on land, so she probably wouldn't have read it."

Does Bonnie have to hide a stash of cloths somewhere every time she wants to go for a swim or is she a clothes-morph-with-her type of werebeast

 "Bonnie's werewhale-yness is a result of basically a curse, so it works on magic-y rules. So... she certainly can have her clothes appear with her when she shifts, it's completely up to her. Unfortunately."

I had a dream about Moby Dykes where the main conflict was that the characters were both in love with a beautiful marine biologist, but while fighting over her they also fall in love and ended up in a throuple situation

Lucy's full name is Lusitania Moore! She's got a brother & a niece she cares for a lot.

She lives on a horrible little fishing island called 7 Bells. She grew up whaling & took up the trade with her dad until she got real seasoned at it. She fought for a seat as a captain and welllllllll....... (that's where Bonnie comes in) She now spends a lot of her free time wishing she could go back out on the sea after her captainship was revoked... woops."

I’m curious why an island would be called 7 bells and what would make it so horrible

""7 Bells" has a funny little history in sailor speak as a turn of phrase! My partner and were looking for things to call this story and deep diving fun sayings and fell on this article listing a bunch but Seven Bells kinda stood out.

 It has a few meanings but this origin seems to come up a lot. EITHER WAY we deviated a little from it original meaning because that's art baby.

Essentially 7 Bells is an island in a fictional world, a lot of folks would call it horrible because of the weather, others because of the beasts that once lurked in the waters nearby. All that's really left of it's name are the fact that there are 7 lighthouses stationed around the circumference of the island, ever watching for beasts of the deep.

(That's what we have so far world-building-wise anyway. We're still chipping away at it!)"

Put it off long enough! Question about Bonnie! Does she hunt only whalers or is anyone in the water on the menu? Are people on land safe?

"She'll bother and sink the ship of anyone she feels she wants to, really. Often whalers just because she thinks it's especially funny. She doesn't really go on land often, though--and she usually sticks to her human form when she does."

If we know what Jiminy looks like in a human-guise, like we know how Bonnie looks in human and were-forms, what exactly does Jiminy's were-form look like?

Very invested in Lucy’s family all of a sudden. What’s her niece like? Does she ever interact with Bonnie?

 "LUCY's FAMILY??? Let's talk about 'em... I know we're less invested in her brother but here he is too! (my partner Tas sketched these and wanted me to post them for this ask LOL)

Her brother we've been calling him Don or Donnie but that's still up for debate as we flesh the world out a bit more. His whole thing is that he just wants his sister to be happy (which means: please settle down & stop trying to get with the sea).

Her niece doesn't have a name (yet) but she's about 12-13 and absolutely ENAMOURED by her aunt Lucy and wants to be Just Like Her. The two get along really well. Lucy tells her a bunch of old whaling stories (much to her brother's dismay).

She doesn't interact with Bonnie in this canon. Lucy is at a bit of a crossroads here, keeping a double secret life with Bonnie away from her family. Itsssssss a funky little queer allegory yahoo!

We both like to think that in a more subdued AU, Bonnie & Lucy would be content being The Cool Aunts. They like kids but aren't looking to raise any specifically!"
