The Skybound eBook is on Amazon!

It took three years, but we made it to the end of book two. Between multiple bouts of covid, pneumonia, a diabetes diagnosis, back injuries, and just overall 2021 being an utterly HORRIBLE year, there were many setbacks. I can't put into words how grateful I am for those of you who stuck with me this whole time. Really, I literally would not have survived without all yall's support.

Onwards to announcements!

First bit of news:

Expect at least one Interlulude in the next week or so for a scrubby adventure side-quest!

Second thing:

I'm already started on the next book. It will be titled "Skycrowned." It will remain as patron exclusive until we get ten chapters in before I start posting it on Royal Road and Scribblehub. The prologue of book 3 will be very familiar to most of you. The Harlot's interlude chapter was never published in the amazon version of book 1 or 2, because in the timeline those events fall in the beginning of book 3. That's where Skycrowned will start off. The Harlot's scene is getting a slight rewrite to expand what's shown of Eastharbor, but the actual events and things she does aren't changing.

Thing the Third: Paperback and Hardcover

Amazon's self-publication process is a nightmare for someone who is as technology clumsy as me. The paperback edition of book 1 was an embarrassment, and I'll soon be pulling it from amazon entirely. Instead, I am in the process of getting both Skyclad and Skybound formatted and typeset for paperback and hardcover release. I'm getting help, both volunteer help from friends and paid, professional help, to get the book ready for self-publication through Ingram-Spark. This means more editing passes, but also means formatting and other touch-ups to make sure the final product is as polished as can be.

Final thing!

The patron tier rewards will be getting an update. Allowing character inclusion and write-ins worked out amazingly well in some cases, but became an unmanageable mess in others. But most of all the problem is the sheer number. The story already has a ton of characters that I'm barely managing to, well, manage. I've got an entire backlog of Praetorian Scrubby reward characters to work through and include, so I'll be editing the tier rewards so I'm not promising more than I can reasonably deliver. Once I have worked out exactly what I'm offering, I'll update the patreon tiers.
