They presumably already came up with a system of 5 player rock paper scissors already when they were deciding who doesn't eat. Him saying in the episode preview that it was decided in one round implies that the system doesn't have to end in one round. I don't really care for the them to explain the mechanics of a rock paper scissors tournament beyond that, its not worth the screen time it would take. I think random chance was the best solution tbh, since even if there is an objective right choice, there is probably a higher chance of that objectively right choice being selected at random than asking them to unanimously decide it based on voting or scores. Also, not sure if you picked it up but Nanba was in Rollin Rollin Mutta mode this ep, hyper concentrating to avoid thinking about his problems lol
