I'm glad you've supported the idea to uplod here some of my SWF art too! There is not much truly byt it's good that I can share this part of my work with you.
So, here's the piece I'm currently working on. I participate in a drawing contest dedicated to a Russian fairy tale poem "Ruslan and Ludmila" written by Alexander Pushkin - precisely for its introduction called "Seashore" ("Lukomorie"). All participants should draw a character or an object from this introduction. Here's the text of this part of the poem:
An oak tree greening by the ocean;
A golden chain about it wound:
Whereon a learned cat, in motion
Both day and night, will walk around;
On walking right, he sings a ditty;
On walking left, he tells a lay.
A magic place: there winds his way
The wood sprite, there’s a mermaid sitting
In branches, there on trails past knowing
Are tracks of beasts you never met;
On chicken feet a hut is set
With neither door nor window showing.
Last week we had to draw a forest spirit ("wood sprite" in the poem) from slavic mythology called "leshiy" (yeah, I know, I'm kinda late). I think you can consider him a silvan. This is a dangerous unholy spirit deeply connected with nature and forest in particular who likes fooling traveles and even can cause their death. Not a very pleasant person, I suppose =)
