Don't know if it looks too repetitive, i just want to do it how i see it.


Want to do animations, but it takes ~15-30 mins per frame on two machines(summary 10 intel cores@4200MHz, 20 threads).

Amazingly beautiful work. As for speeding things up, I am not sure if you could pre render the background for each angle of the scene, make it into an image and animate the characters only on top of that, not sure if that would actually work though I am not a 3D modelling expert like you, it might not work with creating realistic shadows. Just thinking about it from a coding angle. As your background is also very beautiful and looks like it might have a lot of polygons going on for it. Also I know some game companies like removing vertexes and faces on models that will not be seen by the rendering engine, but I am not aware of an easy way to do those things, scary to remove details from these models that are such works of art though.

Thank you. I'll take a look into it, but still feel a bit pessimistic about vray 2.4 and animations, it takes about one minute only to compile all geometry in current scenes, can't wait when vray 3.2 comes to C4D, as it looks very promising.

Another update :) From x4_0_0_21 till x4_0_0_23c. Still can't do it without additional lighting, have tried vray softbox shader for first time, seems very nice and soft, have added two mesh lights with softbox shader, they only noticeable in reflections, past x4_0_0_3c(i've done many re-renders, can't remember if they all uploaded here or not) there was only area dome light with texture for sky and sphere light for torch.

Sooo beautiful! Animations would be cool. Maybe reduce some details and make 1-3 seconds "loopable" clips?
