Rockin' the beard
Added 2018-06-30 06:06:58 +0000 UTCUltimately, as time passes and I get older, it seems only natural. I joked about giving the panda a beard, but I have a beard like this myself. He's my fursona and for the longest time he didn't really match up to 'me' as much as I tried with his previous designs I was never satisfied with the more toony one I've been sporting recently.
I kinda toned the beard down a bit and gave him the proportions he's known for but a bit more matured. I love it so far though.

That's the shirt I was wearing at the time, along with the pants. The shirt is completely ironic "you see what you get" and it's got a picture of a puma (my other me) haha.

This ones for a bud, I'm designing his panda character, which has a ways to go yet. Bit of an older drawing but I felt like it was a good time to share it sense this post is all pandas. His panda and mine are gonna be panda buddies.

Little late getting back to this, but I'm super happy with it too. A few people had told me the expressions is what really makes it, or being able to express it fully without losing that tairu-y-ness. Little more refining has been done since this drawing but ultimately the response has been very positive! It's a keeper.

It adds a certain gravity that I think is fitting for the effect the addition of this beard has (on me). I think it's all held together well by his expression, which seems to have the subtext of that same gravity. He's got plans that involve whoever he's looking at, and there's no escape. Bonus points for leading the eyes down to a very handsome paw <3
