2025-05-29 02:16:21 +0000 UTCalso the bridge on Unknown/Nth is one of my favorite bridges ever written. “and I’d walk so far just to take the injury of finally knowing you” is such a soul-crushingly beautiful line. I still interpret the album as a postcolonial piece and I think that that perspective really shows the impact of displacement and ethnic cleansing in Ireland and the shared experience of being part of a diaspora, which is so isolating but also unifying. such an impactful album regardless of interpretation
