I feel like luffys d initial has been mentioned before. I'm caught up all the way with episodes and movies, and I've been drinking. So idk if anyone can go on from my comment and explain with where we are at now? At the very least know to pay attention when the will of d is mentioned or anything to do with luffys middle name. I feel like it's been brought up at least twice?

So, in this episode, they mention "raftel", a island that will be mentioned more times... One trivia for you AJ, is that recent interviews with Oda show that it was mistranslated, it should be Laugh Tale

So far I think Chopper's and Nami's backstory is the best. But I also like the whole Smoker thing at Alabasta, and get to know Luffy has a brother. Poneglyph's are important throughout the show, aswell as that ancient writing and the middle name D.

What's so interesting about Robin is that she never reveals any details on what she reads on the poneglyphs - we, the viewers, have no idea just how much she actually knows! I'm excited for the day where we hear her reveal everything that she's read!

Next arc is filler so you can skip it but Its the best filler in the series

Crocodile so far was the best villain and the builtup was pretty good. There will be much more intense parts than Nami beeing freed from Arlong, ive seen people cry watching some of the upcoming stuff. Now this is your first (and i hope only) filler you see, i sure you will enjoy G8 as it really is fun. After this filler comes the (in my oppinion) weakest part of the canon show but thereafter is my favorite part so far. As for fillers, despite G8 (which you are gonna see now) every filler is skippable as they are actually bad / not worth watching.

The next mini arc after the filler will unfortunately be half cannon half filler and if I remember correctly you will not be able to skip the filler since it's mixed in with the cannon stuff. It's also the least liked arc by the community

I think this arc was cool but biggest minus for me were the high priests, they were so forgettable compared to likes of Mr 3, Mr 2 for example

Just on something that I think you missed, Robin said Gol D Roger ( the Pirate King) had delivered the text to Raftel ( it’s the last island oon the Grandline journey, where One Piece is hidden).

You know I've always wondered why didn't Roger or any of his crewmembers ring the bell when they went to Skypiea? We know they didn't since it was stated that the bell hadn't been rung in 400 years, and everyone would have heard it if it rang 20+ years ago

I think you overlooked some key sentences in the subtitles while you were speaking, King. The thing that was comedic about their big "getaway with the gold" is that the Shandians and Skypieans were actually trying to GIVE the giant golden pillar from the bell to the Strawhats. They mentioned it first to Robin, then a second time when they were confused about Usopp saying "caught". But because it was wrapped up, the Strawhats (except for Robin) thought it was a giant cannon (lolwut? i know...) and thought they had been "caught" with the gold they took from inside the snake, even though the people wouldn't have cared. The strawhats were running away from them even though the skyfolks and shandians were chasing after them asking them to stay so they could give them the giant golden pillar as thanks. If they're giving a giant golden pillar to them, they wouldn't care about a few bags of worn golden trinkets and accessories found in the digestive system of the snake.

Just to add something to the “D”, we saw Dr. Kureha(the old lady that took care of chopper) early say that “the will of D is still alive”(or something along those lines) after reading luffy’s bounty. This is something I just wanted to add in case you forgot or missed this information
