Wait; really? I'm caught up with the anime and it hasn't said that yet. I theorized that it could be a possibility though because the shandians had wings even though they were on land, and Enel wanted to go where he thinks god should be(he was a sky person too but he may have ripped his wings off for the hoop to look more god-like and use his power in more interesting ways, I'm not sure though).

I agree, and Oda is insane at writing, so he served the purpose of two different characters essentially, an antagonist and seemingly savage warrior, and then a honorable and self sacrificing person. I LOVE the way Oda uses withheld information to control the narrative. The reveals and flashbacks become amazingly memorable moments.

Don't underestimate the Will of P. (Pell from alabasta, Pagaya, etc.)

No Spoiler since never in Anime.
As people already stated enel goes to the moon and so far is the only Antagonist who succeded with His plan somehow. It is also interesting that "the Land of gods" was actually the moon which Ran out of ressources and people fled to earth. Those people are now known as skypians, birkas and shandia. Which means they all were one Nation on the moon. Birka was the skyisland enel was born. But only people in Birka kept the knowledge tho considered beeing a myth. Also also they habe automatas on the moon and enel Powers them with His fruit defending the moon against space pirates, you know the usual moon stuff.

Yeah AJ, Wyper is a pretty cool single-arc side character. You gotta appreciate him wishing that Calgara and Noland could have fulfilled their wish to meet again. He used the reject dial 3 times and didn't even lose an arm, which is pretty insane based on how they described it. And he goes from fighting Luffy to cheering for him, and while Luffy does tend to make changes in former enemies from time to time, it usually isn't quite to that extent.

You know it is a bummer that the anime doesn't animate the cover stories more often they would make much better filler than some of the filler there is. I would love to see miss Golden weeks story animated

Enel goes to the moon, which he calls Fairy Vearth. There's a series of chapter page mini-stories in the manga. If you want to find out what happens to Enel, just read about it here: https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/Enel%27s_Great_Space_Operations

You don't need to watch any filler after G-8. Unless you want to.

Possibly one of the most significant manga covers in terms of theory potential. The history and the foreshadowing is intense.

This is probably my least favourite arc in the series thus far (it's not bad, i just like everything else more) but gosh darn does it foreshadow a ton! I'm super excited for the filler!

One Piece's moon is bit different than ours, its closer to earth in op world + you can breath there unlike in ours.

Also It's funny how Eneru gave Luffy the gold on his arm, which let Luffy discharge all the electricity in his special lightning ball. Rubber is an insulator and couldn't have done that as well as gold, (which I think is also the explanation as to why Luffy can touch Eneru, electricity can't pass through rubber as easy) Gold being highly conductive, Eneru ended up giving Luffy the tool to stop his attack

Sooo...he is going to the moon?
Yes, that's corrects. It's covered in manga front pages, but not in the Anime.

G-8 filler takes place between 196-206 eps best filler there is, also it is the longest filler in One Piece so far which probably holds true till end of the series. from 207 onwards you see One Piece jump to HD era (2004 babe!) so art style will get upgrade. So while you can enjoy the ride of the orginal look of everything etc! I time to times miss this old style due nostalgia =D
You can find the end of Ener's story in the manga covers. It's interesting though. I recommend you to watch it

Luffy ringing the Golden bell never gets old. It's my favorite way Luffy has ever ended a fight for everything ringing that bell symbolize. The end of a 400 year olds war, the fulfillment of the promise between Noland and Calgara, proof Noland wasn't a lier, and the end of an Arc
