I think Elsa might not have killed beatrice the last time because Elsa was still hanging around the mansion 2 days later when subaru arrived, I don't see a reason for her to stick around for 2 more days after succeeding, i think she might not have found beatrice's room and was still looking to find her (Unless she has further business there). Can't wait for the next episodes to find that out.
